About Artwork

17”h x 42″w archival signed limited-edition museum wrapped canvas print, framed in a simple but elegant espresso floater frame ~ I seldom include manmade objects in my work. It is just not what draws me in. The exception to that is older structures that are found in natural settings, such as old barns, lighthouses, and a bridge or two. So, when bland weather made photography in the Arizona Sonoran Desert uninteresting, I turned to several of the old buildings in the century old historic districts of central Tucson. No natural settings around but the interesting architectural styles, especially of the old doors, captured my enthusiasm. Some had been meticulously restored. Others were in dire need of work, or at least a fresh coat of paint. But each had its own charm and character. This building in particular captured my eye. I was drawn to the three doors brightly painted the three primary colors.

About the Artist

Over the past decade, there has been a lot of change in the tools we use to create photographs. Digital has taken over. Regardless, one thing remains constant. The “Art” of photography is about searching for and finding interesting and compelling subjects and then recording and sharing these “Moments in Time” in a unique and creative style. I find my pallet in nature. In its complexity I find simplicity and try and convey that with my photography. The moments I witness and record inspire me. And I hope the images I create inspire you. I personally control all aspects of the creative process for each of my prints. All are made using high quality archival materials and are signed and numbered. The tools may have changed, but the Art remains within the artist.
