About Artwork

10”h x 7″w archival signed limited-edition museum wrapped canvas print, framed in a simple espresso frame ~ Red Fox Pups – There is a family that lives not too far from my children’s school. It grew so large last year that the mother and father had to move half the family into a second home to provide enough room for their ten kids. Even though its a short walk to the local school, the parents home school all of them. It’s a lot like these red foxes, which have lived in a nearby woods and meadow for the past few years. Each fall these parents chase their kits away to find a new home and to fend for themselves. I’ve been able to gain their trust and capture intimate, unique behavior images of this family of red fox. Once the pups get big enough, the will wait outside the den opening while mom and dad are out hunting for food. They spend the time sleeping, playing and getting into mischief. Sound familiar?

About the Artist

Over the past decade, there has been a lot of change in the tools we use to create photographs. Digital has taken over. Regardless, one thing remains constant. The “Art” of photography is about searching for and finding interesting and compelling subjects and then recording and sharing these “Moments in Time” in a unique and creative style. I find my pallet in nature. In its complexity I find simplicity and try and convey that with my photography. The moments I witness and record inspire me. And I hope the images I create inspire you. I personally control all aspects of the creative process for each of my prints. All are made using high quality archival materials and are signed and numbered. The tools may have changed, but the Art remains within the artist.
